Our Dexter Custom modern mailbox is made of heavy, 3/16" thick steel and features your custom laser-cut house numbers on both sides of the mailbox. This heavy-duty curbside mailbox could survive a nuclear war while still providing a modern and sleek aesthetic. Time to make your neighbors jealous!

We build and deliver this mailbox in clean raw hot rolled steel. Much like the grain in wood, this dark steel finish comes with a variety of heat marks from the raw steel cooling in the steel mill. Most people let this mailbox develop a handsome rust patina over time. The pictures show a product that has already rusted over completely. When your product arrives, it will be dark grey in color (please scroll through the thumbnails to see examples of each).

POSTS: We offer two types of STEEL POSTS for mounting - please choose from the drop-down menu above.

60" Option: Set in Concrete -- This option allows you to set the post into concrete up to 18 inches. The entire length of the post is 60 inches. The post comes with a mounting plate that will align with the pre-cut holes in the Dexter mailbox. Hardware is included.

42" Option: Existing Footing -- This option is 42″ long and comes with a bolt plate for mounting to an existing footing or pavement. Hardware is included.

LOCKING: We offer our Dexter series in NON-LOCKING and LOCKING versions. The Locking option adds a door behind the main front door with a slot at the top.

FLAG: We now offer two choices of flags when purchasing your mailbox, a steel flag or a red powder-coated flag.

It’s amazingly “ BOLD “ and beautiful!

This is a really cool and unique mailbox, and it’s a tank, nobody will beat up this mailbox. You can lock the door but the mailman can still but the mail in it threw the slot which is behind the main door which is a awesome idea. We are getting ours powder coated, I didn’t like the idea of it rusting which looks cool to. I had a couple questions about powder coatings and the person I talked to was on it, great place to deal with. And best of all it’s AMERICAN MADE!!!! Last mail box you will ever have to buy.

We sought a durable mailbox to post along an active roadway. The Dexter is solid and yet attractive. Installation was straightforward and not time consuming.
